Harmon's birth name is Thomas "Mark" Harmon, born September 2, 1951 at Burbank, California. Married to Pam Dawper (March 21, 1987), have two son: Sean Thomas Mark (born April 26, 1988) and Ty Christian Harmon (born June 25, 1992).
He appears mostly in TV Show such as: Chicago Hope (Dr. Jack McNeil), St.Elsewhere (Dr. Bobby Caldwell), Moonlighting, The West Wing (Simon Donovan), and NCIS (L.J. Gibbs) since 2003.
One of his more famous movie role was as Mr. Freddy Shoop in Summer School. He has also portrayed serial killer Ted Bundy in television movie The Deliberate Stranger (1986). He was named People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive in 1986.
